Ngamthang Haokip confident of getting BJP ticket for 2022 election

Kangpokpi, December 14 2021:
Veteran Manipur politician and current Advisor to Chief Minister, Ngamthang Haokip expressed his confidence in getting the BJP ticket to contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022.The 51-Saitu AC MLA made the statement while attending a felicitation cum announcement programme held at Thangal Ecological Park, Mayangkhang in Kangpokpi District on Monday.
The event was attended by Education Minister, S Rajen; Agriculture Minister, O Lukhoi and Sagolband AC MLA, RK Imo.
Rev PY Majulong, Pastor Mayangkhang Baptist Church invoked blessing prayer for the intending candidate after the declaration of Ngamthang Haokip as the intending candidate of 51-Saitu AC for the forthcoming Assembly Election.
Speaking on the occasion, Ngamthang Haokip stressed on the importance of political parties and stated that he and his workers decided to join the BJP to bring development and progress for the people.

"I am 100% confident of getting the BJP ticket.
I could assure you this after talking with the party leaders and Chief Minister including my colleague MLAs and Ministers", he asserted.
While claiming that he is a man of work and not lip service, Ngamthang Haokip assured that he would work whole day and night for the welfare of the people.
S Rajen stated that there is no reason to not give Ngamthang Haokip the party ticket considering his vast contribution towards the stability and welfare of the state.
"As per a survey report, BJP will get at least 32 seats from the valley and considering the support from the hills, it will comfortably form the Government again with an absolute majority", said the Minister.
While highlighting the various developmental schemes and projects initiated by the BJP Government in hill districts, S Rajen urged the people of Saitu AC to vote for the veteran and experienced politician who is sure to get the BJP ticket to witness more development in the hills.
"Manipur will be developed only when there is equal development in the hills and valley", he added.
O Lukhoi pointed out that Manipur is a tiny state with limited resources dominated by diverse ethnic groups dwelling peacefully since time immemorial but few political leaders for their vested interest created mistrust and disunity among the various ethnic groups.
"However, with the coming of BJP led Government into power under the transparent and sincere leadership of CM N Biren Singh, the crumbling relationship between the diverse ethnic groups have been bridged", he added.
During the programme, three best polling stations during the by-election of 2020 namely, Khoken Polling Station, Mayangkhang Polling Station and T Khullen Polling Station along with Mayangkhang Khunou Polling Station and Veitum Khullen Polling Station were awarded cash incentives.
Apart from the dignitaries, around 2000 supporters and voters of Ngamthang Haokip across Saitu AC including chiefs of more than 150 villages and former elected members of ADC Sadar Hills also attended the function.
