Jiribam / Tengnoupal / Thoubal , December 12 2017: Jiribam:In view of the observation of 78th Nupilan across the State, Nupilal Ningshing Numit Observation Committee also celebrated the day at Babupara community centre today .

Principal of Jiri College, Dr N Bijaya Devi, who attended as chief guest inaugurated the observation followed by floral tribute to the photos of brave women and mothers of Manipur, who scarified their life during Nupilal .

The observation was attended by Principal Dr N Bijaya Devi, JIMWAK, Jiribam president Thangjam ongbi Jiri Devi, AJMP president, Sagapam ongbi Sushila Devi, JIMPAL, Jiribam president Huirem ongbi Mema Devi, WASEDEV, Jiribam president Naorem Nivarani Devi and WWOK, Jiribam president Haobam ongbi Thoibi Devi as dignitaries .

AMUCO vice president T Gandhi Singh, Paorei Leimarol Meira Paibee Apunba Manipur secretary Th Apabi Devi and WWOK Imphal secretary N Chingkheinganbi spoke on Nupilal and its relevant stories, during the observation .

Later, an interactive session was also held in which JIMPAL advisor B Sarat Sharma, AJUCA president, Maipaksana Mangang and Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) Jiribam District Council advisor L Surendra Singh attended.

Tengnoupal: Kha-Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup, Moreh, Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup, Moreh, Minority Women Development Society, Moreh and Muslim Women Development Association, Moreh joined hands to observe Nupilal at Ima Kondong Lairembi, Moreh .

The observation was attended by Kha-Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup, Moreh president th Ibemhal Leima, Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup, Moreh president Th Jamuna Devi, Muslim Women Development Association, Moreh president Jubada Begum, Minority Women Development Society, Moreh president Meherani Begum as presidium members .

Meetei Council Moreh president M Thoiba Singh, All Community Development Organisation, Moreh vice president O Lukhoi Singh, Manipur Muslim Council Moreh president Md Hussain, Ema Kondong Lairembi Committee Moreh president N Pulindro Singh and Tamil Sangam Moreh secretary Md Tilakan also took part in the observation .

UPF president S Ratankumar, Nupi Samaj general secretary Th Ramani, IPSA president Chingkei Luwang, Kanglamei secretary Y Kamalini Leima and Dr L Kamini Kumar spoke at the ceremony as resource persons .

Floral tributes were also paid to the photos of brave mothers while a marathon for women was also held earlier in the morning today .

Thoubal: Nupilal observation was also organised at MMRC and Unity park, Khangabok, in which Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Thongam Biwsajit, who attended the observation as chief guest unveiled a memorial of Nupilal .

The observation was attended by Education Minister Th Radhesyam as president while Wangjing Tentha AC MLA P Brojen, DC, Thoubal district L Nabakishwor, Sangaiyumpham Zilla Panchayat member Md Hibjur Rahman and MMRC and Unity park Chairman Kh Menjor Mangang as guests of honour .

The dignitaries shared the stories of fearless women and their struggle during Nupilan .

Meanwhile, the day is also observed and remembered at Assam in which Assam Manipuri Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (AMMPAL) organised the Nupilan observation at Singimari Manipur Basti, Golaghat district, Assam .

Assistant Commissioner of Bokajan Sub Division as well as Executive Magistrate, A Bemthoi Chanu as chief guest, AMMPAL president Ahongsangbam ongbi Lily as president and Thoubal Ima Manipur advisor M Noren, Goan Bura of Barapathar Manipuri Basti and AMMPAL Golhagat District Committee president Yendrembam ongbi Modhumala Devi as guests of honour.
