Imphal, August 12 2016 :
BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda has said that Congress is now like an expired medicine and the party will diminish from the soil of Manipur soon.
He was speaking at a one-day political awareness camp organised by BJP Bishnupur Mandal at Bishnupur bazar today.
He said that Congress party had changed Manipur into a big 'engineering cell' and everybody in the party has been running after contract works.
He alleged that the State Government has no vision to take up welfare activities for poor people and no policy to provide proper education to children and youth.
As such, the people of Manipur must join hands in rooting out Congress, which is the primary objective of BJP, he said.

Saying that BJP is gaining popularity in Manipur as well, Bhabananda said that in Bishnupur AC alone, nine persons have been seeking BJP ticket for the upcoming Assembly election.
However, the party is fortunate that all these nine persons have decided to collectively support the candidate who would get the BJP ticket, he said.
Stating that the country has witnessed many changes after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, Bhabananda said that his party believes that the State and country would see advancement only when all the citizens are prosperous.
He also urged the people of Bishnupur AC to contribute their mite in changing Narendra Modi's vision of bringing development to the country into reality by supporting BJP in the upcoming State Assembly election.
BJP Manipur spokesperson Prof Tikendra spoke at length on BJP's five commitments Nationalism, National integrity, democracy, positive secularism, Gandhian socialism and value based politics.
In a significant development for the saffron party, all the nine candidates who are seeking BJP ticket in Bishnupur AC vowed to support the candidate who gets the BJP ticket.
Apart from key functionaries of BJP Bishnupur Mandal, all these nine persons also attended the political awareness camp.
