Students submit memorandum to CM, Governor demanding uninterrupted education
DESAM to launch stir if talk failed to produce solution

Demanding free and uninterrupted education as the government college teachers under the aegis of Federation of College Teachers' Association Manipur (FECTAM) is undergoing cease work strike, Coordination Committee of College Students' Union today submitted a memorandum to the state Chief Minister and the Governor of Manipur.
The students after gathering in TG Higher Secondary School ground came out to submit memorandum to the CM and Governor.
However police stop them when they came out of the school campus and asked the students to form two teams and submit the memorandum.
After submitting the memorandum, the students gathered for a meeting in Imphal College and resolved to surrender textbooks to the government if they failed to bring an amicable solution to the current impasse.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Students' Alliance Manipur (DESAM) warned the state government of stern agitations if the government failed to bring an amicable solution with the striking FECTAM at the earliest.
Speaking in a press meet held at the office of DESAM, secretary general, Angamba told reporters that students of government colleges of the state are deprived of education since August 1 due to the cease work strike of FECTAM in demand of UGC pay scale.
The issue is affecting the academic career of the students since semester system has been introduced in the state.
