CMs of Nagaland, Mizoram to grace Luingaini

Ukhrul, February 08 2016:
Chief Ministers of Nagaland and Mizoram TR Zeliang and Lal Thanhawla have agreed to grace the Manipur Naga Seed sowing festival Luingaini scheduled to held on February 14 an 15 at TNL ground Wino bazar, Ukhrul, stated TNL president Weapon Zimik.
According Zimik, TR Zeliang will grace the opening function on Feb14 as the chief guest of the celebration.
Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla will attend as the chief guest on February 15 .
As usual, ritual invocation of Luingaini (blessing before seed sowing) will be performed by the headman of Hunphun/Ukhrul village.
Apart from celebration, it is also the coming together of all Naga brethren once in a year in solidarity and oneness, added Weapon Zimik.
Nagas from Nagaland led by Naga Hoho president Chuba Ozukum along will NSF team will also attend on behalf of Nagaland brethren.
The TNL president stated that over 1500 delegates are expected from 18 tribes of Manipur Nagas while Naga brethren from Myanmar will also attend the celebration.
It is expected that delegates from non-Naga tribals including Hmar, Kuki, Zou, Paite will attend this year's Luingaini festival as special guests.
During the celebration, all Naga tribes will perform and display their respective tribe cultural and traditional dances to show and mark the common oneness of all Naga tribes during the celebration.
