Education Minister M Okendro who has been appointed spokesman of the Congress Government has expressed displeasure at the allegations made by some political parties over a few 'small matter' .
Okendro was speaking at a reception function held at Salungpham, Thoubal district in honour of Thokchom Ibohal who has been appointed as Advocate General recently.
Okendro stated that some political parties have been plotting to gain political mileage on the issue of Loktak lake and Legislative Assembly TA/DA instead of focusing on more crucial and pressing issues confronting the State.
Though the Government has brought certain positive changes in the State , no political party has ever appreciated the changes and the efforts put in.
Announcing that biometrics data would be utilised in implementing public distribution system, Okendro said that the new initiative would be launched Heirok AC first.
All Government schools would be re-painted with the same colour and Government Polytechnic Institutions would be established in each and every district for the benefit of students belonging to BPL families, Okendro stated.
Altogether 69,000 candidates would appear in the TET scheduled on November 26.TET centres have been restricted to a few venues to maintain quality and standard of the exam.
The reception function of AG Th Ibohal was attended by Thoubal Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Kh Surnalata Devi, Thoubal DC T Ranjit and SP Dr AK Jhaljit as president and guests of honour.
