President of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Peter Laishram, has announced that the 39th Realisation Day will be observed on April 17 at Manipur College multipurpose hall.
Speaking to media persons at AMSU HQs today, Peter said that on the said day, floral tributes will be paid in memory of Potsangbam Premananda and Huidrom Lokendro, who were martyred during the Go Back Foreigner movement in 1980 at Pishum Chinga Macha and the main event will be organised at Manipur College multipurpose hall.
A blood donation camp will be organised as a part of the event as well, he added, appealing to all the students, Imas and the public to participate in the event.
On the other hand, AMSU general secretary Bipinchandra Ahanthem alleged that Freshy Nimboo Pani beverage, which are manufactured in Assam, were found containing a totally misleading and misguided picture.
He explained that in the picture, Loktak Lake, was mentioned as a festival and a cultural extravaganza consisting of various songs and dances.
As such, until and unless the company/firm concerned, clarifies regarding the matter, the beverage has been completely banned from being sold in the State, he added.
