Imphal, February 03, 2011:
Cadets of the No 1 Manipur Air Sqn (Flying) NCC today held a cross country race at the Kangla fort.
The young cadets ran from their campsite at the DM College camp where they are presently undergoing a 10 days Annual Training Camp towards Kangla Fort and entered Kangla through the western gate and exited through the north A.O.C gate, terminating the race at the NCC ground.
About 150 cadets participated in the race and enjoyed the scenic beauty and refreshing air inside the Kangla Fort.
Some of the cadets had never seen the Ancient Fortress in their lives.
"The exercise was to imbibe competition, espirit-de-corps love and respect for the great culture and history of Manipur to the young cadets attending the camp from various parts of the State", said Flt Lt K.U Singh, the Camp Commandant.
