KTU leader in KNF-N custody dead due to stroke

The Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) Commander-in-Chief died this morning reportedly due to a stroke/heart attack at the Daitwi Camp of the who was in the custody of KNF-N in Kangpokpi district.
Dr Napoleon Kremlin, president of KNF-N said that the KTU leader died of a stroke/heart attack early this morning at around 4.30 despite all possible medical assistance and added that the deceased KTU leader was given the best treatment considering his age and physical weakness in the camp.
He also said that interrogation was also delayed due to his physical weakness and ill health and the medical team rendered all efforts to revive him but he passed away died this morning before any interrogation.
Minutes of the Framework Agreement between the Government of India and the NSCN-IM is one vital issue among many others which the outfit wanted to interrogate and collection information from the deceased KTU leader but unfortunately before any queries could be initiated he passed away owing to his poor health, said the outfit's supremo.
However, he said that some information about the KTU in Manipur could be collected during a casual chat with the deceased leader stating that KTU has no separate arms wing and has two units in Manipur, namely KTU Senapati and KTU Ukhrul unit while cadres of the NSCN-IM extend support to the KTU.
He also said that there five members of KTU in the two units of Manipur and identified them as Khailun Haokip (the deceased) from Phaimol, Hemsei Vaiphei of Lhakhan, Seitinsat of Senapati, Kampu Doungel of Saikul Hill Town and Thanglet of Jaolen village.
The KNF-N leader further said that Paohao Khongsai is the president of KTU as a whole and Ajang Kipgen from Pangjang village in Saikul sub division is the general secretary while Holjathang Touthang of Khoikai village is the in-charge of Dimapur unit, Seitinsat of Molvom Nagaland is the in-charge of Senapati unit and Hemsei Vaiphei of Lhakhan village is the Kilonser (Minister) of the outfit.
"KTU and NSCN-IM have an agreement that a Kuki Union territory shall be given if the Nagas demand is fulfilled", asserted the KNF-N chief while adding that KTU is wholeheartedly working for the success of the dialogue between the NSCN-IM and the Government of India.
