Youth policy, RGKA launched in State

As part of its nation wide programme, the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal West, Senapati and Imphal East and Kangpokpi have formally launched the National Youth Policy 2014 and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan today.
The launch programme in respect of Imphal West NYK was held at Kuranganayani Hall, DC Office, Lamphelpat.
A rally was also taken out from SAI Takyelpat till DC Office.
K Radhakumar Singh, DC Imphal West; Sahib Singh, Zonal Director, NYKS Imphal Zone and Dr Subhash Basumatary, Director, SAI NERC Imphal and Assistant Professor, NERIWALM, Ministry of Water Resources, UM Hazarika attended the launch programme as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
At the same time, similar launch programme of the National Youth Policy 2014 and RGKA was held at Senapati with Golmei Gaiphulshillu, Judge of District and Session Court, Senapati as the chief guest.
Rangsong, ZEO Senapati; K Kumar Singh, Youth Coordinator, NYK Senapati, Athia Mary Moroo, Principal of Brook Dale Higher Secondary and staff; Heni Ahrai, Oath Commissioner (Judicial), Vice-president of Senapati District Bar Association; Judicial staff, volunteers, Mahila Mandal and youth club leaders and students from various schools of the district attended the programme.

Around 450 dignitaries and youths of the district took part in the rally that began from Brook Dale Hr Sec School ground crossing till Senapati public ground.
Besides distributing leaflets, booklets, postures, IEC materials, the rallyists also raised slogans.
The chief guest conveyed a strong message on the positive role and potentiality of youth in building the nation and also stressed the importance of several youth oriented programmes launched by the Govt.In Imphal East, the launch programme was held at Khuman Lampak Stadium.
Th Ibomcha, Upadhyaksha of Imphal East; Itobi Singh, president of Manipur State Panchayat Parishad; Sunder Paonam, chairman of Standing Committee of Agri and Industry; renowned Manipuri film actresses Abenao and Tonthoi; Mister Manipur Bungcha; Shyam Kanhai, youth awardee graced the programme as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kangpokpi organised a mass youth rally from Kanglatongbi to Motbung in Sadar Hills to mark the occasion.
Deputy Inspector of Schools, Saitu-Gamphazol Seikholet Singsit gracing the launching programme of NYP and RGKA 2014 as the chief guest at Orphanage UJB School, Kanglatongbi, said, "The Government of India have done numerous development works for the Indian youths particularly in the field of sports" .
Conveying that it is very much vital on the part of the youth of the country to acknowledge the various government programs to empower them to achieve their full potential and realise their dreams, Seikholet also appealed to the youth to render their best and utmost efforts in their study along with involving in the field of sports.
District Youth Co-ordinator, NYK, Kangpokpi Salam Gourakishwor Singh elaborating on the National Youth Policy and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan said that National Youth Policy is a comprehensive policy document that states the vision of the Government of India for the youth of the country and also how this vision is sought to be realized by the Government.
The Youth Co-ordinator further maintained that RGKA is a unique initiative to converge central Government schemes namely MGNREGA, NLCPR-Central, ACA for LWE, BRGF, etc.
leaders of various youth clubs, Panchayat members and village council members, community leaders, women groups, NCC, NSS, sportspersons, representatives of Central and State Govt., district administration and police personnel also took part in the rally during which slogans were raised on "Long Live NYP, RGKA, NYK and Sadar Hills" .
