Imphal, September 20 2018:
A huge blast was heard by the villagers of the bordering belt of Kamjong district on 18th September from across the Indo-Myanmar border.
The blast took place in the PLA camp from across the border in Aungjiya village at around 9:30 PM.
Sources have reported that the blast has claimed lives of 3 PLA men; namely, SS Pvt Mangba, SS Pvt Shyam Singh and SS Pvt Nandu, and inflicted grave injuries on two others.
According to the locals, some cadres of PLA had been preparing a huge Improvised Explosive Device to cause maximum damage and unprecedented mayhem inside the state of Manipur in the run-up to their raising day on the 25th September.

The next day, Chassad Battalion of Assam Rifles in Kamjong district recovered a huge Remote controlled IED weighing about 8 kg.
It was reported by some locals of Khangpat khullen village that a suspicious object was lying on the Kamtong-Skipe road.
Parties were immediately launched by 31 Assam Rifles Battalion and after a deliberate operation the RCIED was recovered at around 5 PM.
The recovery has confirmed the desperate attempts by PLA to show their continued relevance in times when rest of the Manipur is steadily progressing towards peace and development.
This IED was placed under the expertise of SS Maj Humi of PLA on the route that is a lifeline for the Tangkhuls and Kukis residing in the bordering region of Kamjong district.
But for the accidental explosion in Aungjyar and timely and accurate intelligence from Manipur Police and swift action by Assam Rifles, PLA would certainly have succeeded in their aim of causing multiple deaths of innocents; and for nothing but justifying their pitiful existence.
