CM dismisses Oppn allegation

Dismissing allegation of misuse of fund sanctioned for National School Safety Programme by Relief and Disaster Management Department, Chief Minister O Ibobi asserted there is no question of misuse of fund nor any meaning in ordering any enquiry.
Raising a call attention motion in the State Assembly this morning, Opposition Member Dr I Ibohalbi stated there was a strong suspicion about misuse of National School Safety Programme by Relief and Disaster Management Department.
He also sought attention of the House to order an enquiry into the alleged misappropriation of fund.
Responding to the motion, Chief Minister O Ibobi maintained that funds sanctioned for the programme were never misused or misappropriated.
"Any one can check bank statements, if one wishes", Ibobi stated.
He asserted that there is no need for any enquiry.
Not satisfied with the Chief Minister's reply, Dr Ibohalbi put up the motion again and again.
He claimed that Rs 12 lakhs to an SBI branch of South Guwahati in 2012 .
Still, the Chief Minister maintained that there was no irregularity or discrepancy and the session was transformed into a debate between the two.
Finally, the Speaker intervened wrapped up the matter saying that the Chief Minister has already replied to the motion.
Only after the Speaker's intervention, the session proceeded to its next agenda.
