COVID-19 death toll rises by five

Imphal, November 14 2020:
COVID- 19 death toll in the State has reached 218 after five individuals died of the virus.
During the last 24 hours, five persons aged 45 (male, Imphal West), 65 (male, Kakching), 63 (male, Imphal West), 47 (male, Kakching) and 67 (male, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity, Jivan Hospital, JNIMS and RIMS.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 211 people including 17 personnel of CAPF were tested positive for the contagion during the last 24 hours at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Imphal West, CMC, Maipakpi Hospital, Hillside Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Samaritan Hospital, Shija Hospital, Christian Hospital, Advance Hospital, Asian Hospital, Jivan Hospital, Public Hospital, Raj Medicity, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Tamenglong, Churachandpur, Senapati, Kamjong, Tengnoupal and Babina Diagnostics.
The 194 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (58), Imphal East (64), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (21), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (1), Tamenglong (18), Churachandpur (6), Kangpokpi (1), Tengnoupal (1), Kamjong (5) and Senapati (4) .
All of them are locals who do not have any significant history of travelling outside the State.
On the other hand, 190 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (3), home isolation (128), JNIMS (4), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (21), CCC UNACCO (13), RD Wing (4), Bal Bhavan (3), Thoubal (4), Noney (3), Moreh (3) and Tamenglong (4) .
The cumulative figure of positive cases has reached 21636 (general population 18750, Central security personnel 2886) .
It includes 3084 active cases (general population 2833, Central security personnel 251) and 18334 discharged cases (general population 15703, Central security personnel 2631).The recovery rate is 84.73 percent.
