Market shed at Tintong Laijang inaugurated

Imphal, November 09 2012:
A NEAT market shed and Complex was inaugurated today at Tintong Laijang under Saitu AC in Sadar Hills by IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Ngamthang Haokip said the Market Shed would serve as a window for tribal farmers and boost their economy by selling their produces in the shed.
He also expressed hope that the market shed would promote communal harmony and love among all the communities of the State.
The market shed was constructed under funding from North Eastern Community Resource Management Project under DoNER Ministry and International Funding, Agriculture Development.
Later, the minister visited Maram Pallen village of Senapati district.
He inspected the site for construction of a Church in the village.
The Minister also held discussion with the accompanying Horticulture and SC officials of Kangpokpi over the feasibility of taking up banana plantation in the area.
Project Manager of Senapati District Community Resource Management Society, N Sukajit also attended the inaugural ceremony of the Market shed today.
