More than 30, 000 unemployed youths applied for the post.
Accordingly, physical efficiency test was held and PET successful candidates were allowed to appear for the written test in which more than 10, 000 candidates were selected.
Thereafter, a viva voce was held and since then they have been waiting for results of the interview, it maintained.
It also pointed out that without giving any prior information for holding an inquiry in connection with the recruitment process, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) passed an order on August 20 of last year stating that the recruitment process has been cancelled.
An order for holding a fresh recruitment process was then issued.
Urging the matter be looked into and cancel the order passed by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), the memorandum appealed to the Governor and the Chief Minister to declare results of the recruitment process at the earliest.
