DESAM raises question leak cry

Not so long after news broke about of Class XI question papers getting, DESAM has raised another alarm announcing that the question paper for the Class X MIL paper, was leaked ahead of the examination today.
Speaking to media persons at DESAM office today, its secretary general Leishangthem Lamyanba claimed that today's exam was supposed to begin from 9 am but the question paper leaked at around 8.30 am and went viral on social media sites.
Stating that DESAM has proof of the leak, he lamented that such incidents have tarnished the sanctity and decorum of the examination conducted by BSEM.
If such a trend continues, then the academic atmosphere of the State will deteriorate to the lowest level.
The trust people have in teachers will also drop drastically, he said, and demanded the authority to constitute an enquiry committee to look into the matter at the earliest.
He also demanded the examination to be conducted again and to include penal provisions for question leakage, copying, impersonation, use of unfair means in examination hall, misconduct of invigilators etc in the Manipur Elementary and Secondary Education Act 1972 and Manipur Higher Secondary Education Act 1992.On the other hand, Secretary of BSEM informed that a case has been registered with Cyber Crime branch and necessary investigation has been launched into the leakage of Class X question papers.
It also informed that legal action has been initiated in connection with the incident at Lilong Hr Secondary School today and assured that appropriate action will be taken up against all those involved.
