Many continue to distribute medicines and Covid relief items

Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board and MLA of Keirao AC, Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei handed over edible items, medicines and Covid testing kits to villagers of Kwatha village located at the border of Myanmar and Manipur who have been severely impacted by COVID-19 pandemic today.
The MLA handed over 40 bags of rice, 5 bags of potatoes, other, edible items, medicines, Covid testing kits, face masks and hand sanitizers to the locals of Kwatha Khunjao and Kwatha Khunou in a simple ceremony held at Kwatha Khunjao community hall.
Speaking on the occasion, L Rameshwor Meetei said that the distribution programme has been taken up under the aegis of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Addressing the grievances of the locals of the area, he ensured that all possible help will be extended from his side and assured that he will consult with the Chief Minister for the speedy completion of various development activities in Kwatha village for the welfare of the villagers.
In a bid to tackle the COVID-19 effectively in the State, Committee on COVID-19 Manipur continued the distribution of Ayush-64 tablets, face masks and sanitizers to various Covid Care Centres (CCCs), Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICs), local Covid task forces, local clubs and meira paibis in various locations today.
The Ayush medicines are being distributed in association with Directorate of Ayush, said a press release by the committee which has been formed by CADA, UPF, NIPCO, AMSU, UPACO, MAPI Council.
The medicines and Covid relief materials were distributed at various places in Kaching and Imphal West districts and the team also interacted with the volunteers of CCCs, CHICs, local Covid task forces, local clubs and meira paibis regarding the various precautionary measures taken up by them against COVID-19, added the statement.
