The Churachandpur District Christians' Goodwill Council in its emergency meeting held this afternoon has condemned in the strongest term the gruesome act of abducting and killing Apurva Jain s/o Babulal Jain of LIC Building, Tiddim Road (Churachandpur) .
Expressing that the act will smear the society, a joint statement of the Council issued by its president Rev Dr.Lalhmuoklien, vice president Rev S Vung Minthang, secretary Rev Vanmawia and joint secretary Bro T Aloysius Nehkhojang conveyed compassion and grief to the bereaved family by Apurva Jain.
The kidnapping and brutal murder of Apurva Kumar Jain in the early hours October 29 while the victim's party were in the final process of fulfilling ransom demand of the abductors is deeply shocking, challenging the sensibilities of all peace loving citizens and their firm belief in the dignity and inviolability of human life, the Council said.
appealing to all right thinking and peace loving citizens to raise their voices in condemning and decrying such evil and heinous crime, they also called upon authorities concerned to ensure public safety.
They further demanded that all the guilty ones be brought to justice.
