Boarding revisited, death scene reconstructed

To clear the doubts and apprehension among the public, the JAC formed in connection with the death of Babysana, along with IGP Clay Khongsai, Imphal West SP K Meghachandra, SIT, State forensic expert team, revisited Standard Robarth Hr Secondary School boarding and reconstructed the death scene of the victim, from today morning till noon.
Later, replying to queries raised by media persons regarding the arrest of Landhoni's son Ph Robinson, SP K Meghachandra said that firstly the police consider the case as an unnatural death and in course of the investigation, police picked up Robinson because of the negligence of the school authorities who are taking care of the boarders and hostellers.
"Several theories are there specially in social media and most of them are completely baseless.
But police incorporated all those theories in the investigation making all the options open and the investigation free and fair", he added.
He further said that the investigation is open in all aspects and urged the people not to create rumours.
The people can come to the police and clear their doubts, he said.
Informing that many others were also examined by the police in connection, Meghachandra said that two individuals (a male and a female) who posted inappropriate comments on social media regarding Babysana's case, were also picked up and examined by police.
The SP further appealed all not to spread rumours and instead to bring out people who can be witnesses.
