Many more condole Dr Syed Ahmed

Several institution and organisations of the State have condoled the demise of Governor Dr Syed Ahmed, who passed away on Sept 27 .
All officers and officials of Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal led by its Secretary, Dr K Sushila observed a one minute silence at the office of the Akademi today as a mark of respect to the departed soul of Dr Syed Ahmed, Governor of Manipur, who is also the Chairman of the Akademi.
In a statement, MSKA said that Dr Syed was not only an able head of State and an astute statement, but was also an academician par excellence.
He was one among the few enlightened leaders who possessed a vast repertoire of knowledge and expertise on Indian culture and literature.
Although Dr Ahmed's association with the Akademi was brief, his high ideals and principles will continue to inspire the Akademi in times to come, it said.
Members of Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, the Manipur Equestrian Association and Manipur Pony Society, in an emergency joint meeting, expressed deep sorrow at the sudden demise of Dr Syed Ahmed, the Governor of Manipur.
The members observed two-minute silence to condole his demise.
They recalled his deep sense of preserving Manipuri culture and the people's responsibility of conserving and preserving Manipuri Polo and pony.
The associations also conveyed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and shared their sorrows.
Members of the Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions' Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Govt Employees' Organisation (AMGEO) observed a two-minute silence to condole the demise of Dr Syed Ahmed.
The condolence meeting of the JAC presided by its senior VP, B Ghanashyam Sharma also remembered the commitment of the Dr Ahmed for the welfare of the employees, workers and pensioners during his short stint as the Governor of the State.
