SSP gives 'killer' tag to PLA

Imphal West SSP L Kailun has stated that the proscribed RPF/PLA was behind the recent killing of non-local labourers at Imphal.
Briefing media persons at Imphal West District Police Hqs, Kailun said Imphal West District Police have nabbed three RPF/PLA cadres who were directly or indirectly involved in shooting to dead two non-local labourers at Nagamapal and Uripok on September 17 and 18 .
In the course of an extensive operation, Imphal West police nabbed PLA cadre Wahengbam Haridev alias Don (28) of Wahengbam Leikai along with PLA flags, festoons and posters yesterday.
The seized articles were meant for use on PLA�s raising day tomorrow.
Haridev reportedly disclosed that the killing of one non-local labourer at Nagamapal on September 18 was executed by another RPF cadre namely Gurumayum Nimaichand (36) of Nagamapal
Singjubung Leirak.
Nimaichand was pulled up from the house of Dr Arambam Ratankumar located at Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak at about 9.20 am today.
Nimaichand disclosed that one 9 mm pistol he used in killing people was handed over to one Nityaichand Pal (22), staying in a rented room at Uripok Tourangbam Leikai.
Along with the arrest of Nityaichand Pal, one 9 mm pistol (Mauser Werke) and magazine containing nine live rounds have been recovered from the rented room owned by one Tourangbam Jisu alias James alias Meira, SSP Kailun said.
Nimaichand further revealed that both the killings of Nagamapal and Uripok were carried at the command of PLA�s S/S Sgt Major Jisu alias James alias Meira.
The weapon was also provided by Jisu.
Nimaichand is the youngest brother of PLA�s S/S Assistant Army Chief G Inaocha alias Jame.
Sgt Maj Tourangbam Jisu alias James alias Meira and RPF�s Assistant Publicity Secretary G Jiteshore alias Ningthem alias Gypsy alias Changjou of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak are cousins.
The SSP said that further investigation is on.
