Social Welfare Department encourages blind, deaf and mute students

Students of Ideal Blind School and Deaf and Mute School, Takyel who have cleared the HSLC Examination conducted by BOSEM were felicitated, today.
The felicitation ceremony held at the campus of Ideal Blind School was organised by the Social Welfare Department, Govt of Manipur.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, Director of the organising department, Ng Uttam Singh said "Life has a strange way of hitting hard at the least expected moment and one must be mentally prepared to accept both success and defeat" .
He then urged all students to take utmost care of their mental health to become stronger persons and not give up when they go through troubling times.

"Without effort, one can't succeed.
One doesn't have to be disheartened when he/she gets results not expected.
He/she should push forward with even more determination than ever before to overcome obstacles and win," he said.
All 7 students of Ideal Blind School Takyel cleared the HSLC examination (5 in the first division and 2 in the second division) this year while 15 students of Deaf and Mute School Takyel cleared the examination.
Three students of Deaf and Mute School were also conferred with Lukram Ongbi Sanjenbam Ningol Bhanumati Devi Merit Award, which carries a cash award of Rs 5,000 .
Deputy Director, Social Welfare Th Dilip Kumar Singh; Child Welfare Officer, Social Welfare, Lolit and Headmistress of Deaf and Mute School Takyel, N Kalpana Devi also attended the programme.
