Bandh disrupts normal life

The 12 hour bandh imposed by the JAC against the brutal killing of K Ibemhal Devi largely affected normal life at Andro and its adjoining areas, our correspondent reports.
The JAC clamped a 12 hour bandh at Andro A/C from 5 am today to protest the bail order of the four accused in the murder case of K Ibemhal Devi.
Irate locals of Andro A/C also took out a torch rally in the midnight yesterday.
Bandh supporters blocked major roads in the A/C by placing boulders and burning tyres along the roads.
Shops and establishments, markets in the area remained closed for the day.
Educational institutions, however, were unaffected by the bandh.
The bandh ended peacefully after 5 pm and normal life returned to the area, this correspondent reports.
