Election campaigning has gone into full swing ever since BJP finalised the names of 32 candidates for the party ticket.
Keishamthong Kendra BJP selected candidate RK Shivchandra, who is also the BJP spokesperson, has begun house campaign today.
More than one thousand workers took part in the house campaign which covered Kongjeng Hajari Leikai and its surrounding areas.
Speaking to media persons, Shivchandra said after 15 years of darkness, the State will now prosper once the BJP comes to power.
On the other hand, BJP workers held a meeting at Hiyangthang Maning Leikai, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C as part of the election campaign.
Speaking to the people present at the meeting, ex Imphal West Jilla Parishad Adhyaksha and the BJP intending candidate of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C, Soibam Subhaschandra said he would bring an end to corruption if he is elected.
He also pledged to help the villagers who lost their land due to the expansion of Imphal Airport and who are currently residing at Ningombam Chinggol.
