Imphal, January 18 2016:
For the first time in its history, Sekmai LPG Bottling Plant bottled record 11016 refills of 14.2 Kg capacity today.
IOC's Imphal Divisional Retail Sales Office State Level Coordinator SI Singh told The Sangai Express that the bottling plant created a new record by bottling 155 metric tonnes of LPG today.
If counted in terms of truck loads, altogether 36 truck loads were bottled today.
Sekmai LPG Bottling Plant was commissioned in January 2007 and it was bottling 100 metric tonnes of LPG in a day on the average.
The total number of refills required for filling 100 metric tonnes is around 6426 .
Earlier, the plant was supplying 21 truck loads of LPG, each carrying 306 refills.
But today, the plant supplied 36 truck loads of LPG each carrying 306 refills.
The new achievement is not an accomplishment of the IOC alone.
It was a joint achievement of the State Government, transporters, distributors and the IOC.
IOC's target is delivery of refills to consumers within 21 days of booking.
Coordination and support of the State Government, transporters and distributors are crucial to achieve this target, SI Singh said.
He asserted that the same target can be achieved if the bottling plant can bottle everyday the volume of LPG it bottled today.
On the other hand, it is said that Lupheng Indane Gramin Vitrak, Churachandpur district has distributed refills to all consumers who made their bookings on December 7 or earlier.
At the moment, there is no consumer who is awaiting delivery of refill after due booking has been made.
Lupheng Indane Gramin Vitrak has been distributing 63 refills in a day on the average.
With no consumers awaiting refills after making due bookings, it can be assumed that the IOC's target of delivering refills to consumers within 21 days of booking has been already realised for Lupheng Indane Gramin Vitrak.
