Armed miscreants loot medical store

Imphal, August 17 2017:
All the money kept in a hard box of a medical store has been looted by some unidentified armed persons at Moreh, subse-quent upon which all busi- ness activities were suspen-ded at the border town .
Two unidentified armed persons came inside RN Medicos at Moreh Ward No 6, Nepali Basti at around 3.30 pm yesterday and confiscated all the money kept inside a hard box after intimidating the pharmacist and other people present at the store .
The armed persons demanded money from some other shops too, informed a source .
Meanwhile, the Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce (BTCC) Moreh has lodged a written complaint to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Moreh informing that some armed persons have been threatening and demanding money and goods from shops at Moreh for quite some time .
Such activities have vitiated the atmosphere so badly that it is no longer conducive for any trade and business activity at the border town, it pointed out.
