Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Door-to-door campaign launched at various places

As a part of NALSA's Pan India Awareness and Outreach Campaign, all District Legal Services Authorities under the Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) initiated a special 15 days "Door-to-Door campaign" on Saturday to identify such marginalised, vulnerable and helpless persons and to ensure their rights and entitlements are actualised in reality.
The respective Chairpersons and Secretaries of each District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) launched this special campaign in their respective districts in the presence of legal services functionaries and district administration officials, said a release issued by MASLSA.
Ojesh Mutum, Member Secretary, MASLSA also launched the campaign from Kamjong district wherein awareness on free legal aid and services were provided along with distribution of legal services pamphlets to villagers residing in remote villages such as Montu, Mathang, Lambui, Shanshak, Lungreiphung, Singha, Nungpak Khullen, Puntha, Kangpat, Hangkaw, Kongkan, Pushing, Lakhan, Chatric and others.

Throughout these 15 days, around 350 Para Legal Volunteers and other legal services functionaries will attempt to cover all the 2580 villages of Manipur to give awareness of the rights and entitlements, to identify all such beneficiaries and provide legal aid and assistance wherever required.
Various other forms of creating mass legal awareness will also be used- including audio-visual means, mobile vans and cycling teams.
All the district administration officials will also be rendering active co-operation and assistance during these 15 days.
As a follow up, special micro legal services camps will also be organized all over Manipur, to ensure every right of all such identified marginalised persons is actually realized.
IMPHAL
A Guneshwar Sharma, MJS, District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West cum chairman DLSA Imphal West also flagged off the Door-to-door campaign today in the presence of Y Somorjit Singh, MJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West cum secretary DLSA Imphal West, RK Imoba, Advocate, Retainer Lawyer, Front office DLSA Imphal West and PLVs of DLSA, Imphal West.
SENAPATI
The Door-to-door campaign as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was also launched at Kangpokpi DC office complex by District & Sessions Judge cum chairman DLSA Senapati, Samom Ibjen; Superintendent of Police Kangpokpi, Karthik Malladi and secretary cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Senapati, A Tarunakumari Devi.
The same campaign was also launched at Senapati DC office complex by Samom Ibjen; Additional District Magistrate, Senapati HL Jain; Superintendent of Police Senapati, Maharabam Pradeep; A Tarunakumari Devi and Additional Public Prosecutor to District & Sessions Court, Senapati, Koshia Mao.
The programme was organized by the DLSA, Senapati under the aegis of NALSA.
THOUBAL
DLSA Thoubal under the aegis of MASLSA also launched the Door-to-door campaign at Legal Aid Clinic, Samaram by Binny Ngangom, Chairperson, DLSA, Thoubal and Shanta Athokpam, Secretary, DLSA, Thoubal.
The campaign will be conducted by the PLVs of Legal Aid Clinics within Thoubal & Kakching under the aegis of DLSA, Thoubal and is targeted to outreach to more than 35,000 beneficiaries in the two districts within 15 days.
