Justice demanded for Richard Loitam at Modern College, Porompat

Students and teaching staff of Modern College, Porompat staged a sit-in-protest at the College premises today against the controversial demises of Richard Loitam at Bangalore recently and Okram Laaba at Chennai last year.
Speaking to newspersons on the sidelines of the protest demonstration organised jointly by the Students' union of the College and the teaching staff, Union president Yunush Atiqur demanded that the Government of Manipur pursue the cases with all seriousness till the entire facts are unravelled, guilty ones booked and punished, and justice delivered to families of the victims.
He was also of the firm belief that punishing those involved in the criminal acts could prevent similar incidents happening in the future.
While Architecture student Richard's death has become a raging issue after he was discovered dead in his hostel room and many suspecting involvement of his seniors in his demise, circumstances under which Laaba was found dead at Chennai is being questioned by his father who is demanding a thorough investigation into the case.
