PLA's bomb attack

An Assam Rifles vehicle was damaged in a bomb attack launched by the People Liberation Army (PLA) at Nungshangkhong along Imphal-Ukhrul road in Ukhrul district this afternoon.
Claiming hands in the attack, a statement issued by the chief, department of publicity, Revolutionary People's Front (RPF), Bangkim said the attack launched by the PLA's Special Warfare Group was part of its offensive against Indian army.
A source said that the blast occurred near Nung-shangkhong, 15 kilometres from Ukhrul headquarters towards Imphal when a vehicle belonging to 41 Assam Rifle carrying Durga idol for immersion passed through the spot around 3 pm.
Other than the AR bus's front windshields getting shattered, no injury or other damages was caused by the blast.
Conveying its readiness to launch such offensive any time, the RPF statement acknowledged the cooperation of the people in the attack.
