JCILPS, JAC call on Governor

Members of JCILPS and the JAC constituted against declaration of Khomdram Ratan as a wanted man called on Governor V Shanmuganathan today and the Governor assured that he would look into the matter of declaring Ratan as a wanted man.
Speaking to media persons this morning at Singjamei Wangma Thongkhong after their meeting with the Governor, JCILPS Women Wing convenor Lourembam Nganbi said that two representatives of JCILPS and two members of the JAC called on the Governor today.
They also submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
Nganbi said that Kh Ratan was a public figure who took pivotal roles in all the mass movements spearheaded by JCILPS.
While decrying the State Government's order which declared Kh Ratan as a wanted man, Nganbi said that the JAC and the JCILPS would chalk out their next course of action after studying the High Court's verdict which may be announced on August 16 .
Commenting on Arambam Robita's decision to launch an indefinite hunger strike against AFSPA, Nganbi said that JCILPS has no right to prevent Robita from launching any form of agitation but added that JCILPS does not support her indefinite hunger strike.
