Honouring its commitment of belonginess to the people, 29 Assam Rifles four-day excursion tour for the children of Joupi culminated on 07 Dec 2017 with the visit of the contingent of 39 children (17 boys, 22 girls), 5 teachers and two village chiefs to the Hon'ble Governor's House.
Hon'ble Governor of Manipur, Dr.Najma Heptulla appreciated the multipronged approach of Assam Rifles to bring normalcy in the region.

She interacted with the kids and wished more such interactions with populace of these remote region.
It was a great learning and exposure for the kids as well.
She was presented with Kuki shawl, traditional basket and a book illustrating Anglo-Kuki war.
Hon'ble Governor said more such tours should be organized to train and help these young brains to achieve their goal in life.

It was yet another successful attempt of 29 Assam Rifles to help and support local populace thus fulfilling its agenda of targeting youths and children to train, educate and expose them to nationalistic agenda of development.
It would enable the young impressionable minds to integrate with national mainstream and act as a catalyst for channelizing their aspiration to achieve higher goals in life.
