After a lot of hardwork, the machine finally became operational in July 2019, he added.
Talking about the machine, V Mungleng said that the wood carving machine that he designed can cut or engrave wood blocks into many shapes as it is designed with adjustable screw.
Jigsaw are designed to cut only soft wood, whereas the wood carving machine can cut or design harder/thicker wood, he contended.
V Mungleng conveyed that he purchased and used driller as the main motor of the machine, whereas other parts were recycled from scraps available in the village.
Maintaining that his machine save more time in carving and is more accurate in joining wooden blocks, he mentioned that the machine can be improved further for marketing if he received the required fund.
V Mungleng also expressed desire to design more machines, however due to poor economic conditions, he is unable to purchase even the basic tools for making the wood carving machine.
Saying that he also need separate workshop and stall to display his product for marketing, he urged the District Administration and the concerned departments to extend support in order to develop and upgrade his product.
