Thousands of NPF members and workers who participated in a high level political campaign held at Multipurpose Hall, Ukhrul pledged their allegiance to the party for the forth coming Parliamentary election.
In an attempt to enhance the activities of the party, Divisional and Area office bearers of Ukhrul district were also administered oath.
Besides the executive members of the party, NPF MLAs like Samuel Risom, Dr Alexander Pao, Zaku Sukru, Vice President of NPF Central Office, Kohima, Soso Lorho, President Manipur State unit, Dr Khashim Ruivah Ex MLA, A Aza, Ex MLA and others leaders from social organisations attended the campaign.
The NPF has accused the present SPF Govt of failing in Governance while also alleging it for causing imbalance in development, deteriorating law and orders situation of the State and churning out the cops into drug smugglers.
Samuel Risom, who spoke at the occasion narrated how he rose to become an MLA from a hotelier.
Taking a dig at the Govt over Silent village arson incident, he categorically stated that the State Land Revenue Act should not be imposed on the tribal living in overlapping areas.
He also accused the OC of Lamlai PS of failing to execute his duties in time.
He also alleged the Govt of partiality among MLAs while pointing out that his security was withdrawn once on his way to Ukhrul from Imphal.
He added that the Govt is partial in the promotion of Govt officers from the tribal community.
The party has also pledged anew its commitment and support to the ongoing peace dialogue between GOI and NSCN.
Avowing to fight for the rights of the hill people, the NPF also pledged to facilitate peace process and strengthen NPF in all hill areas of the State.
Besides Nagaland and Manipur, the party has also felt its presence in Arunchal Pradesh and even in Myanmar.
