AMAND convenes 9th annual meeting

The Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND), Pune organized its 9th annual general meeting cum cultural programme virtually on October 4 .
A press release issued by AMAND said that the programme was streamed live on its Facebook page.
The cultural programme includes a musical concert by renowned Manipuri singers, traditional dance performances, it said and added that the 3rd AMAND Talent Hunt was also held.
The programme was hosted by Ms Nancy Huidrom from the office premises of 3CIT Solutions & Services Pvt Ltd, Pune while Dr Meitram Niraj Luwang, Gen Secretary, AMAND Pune presented a short video on how AMAND helped the stranded Manipuris in reaching Manipur by co-ordinating with the Govt of Manipur and Govt of Maharashtra, it added.
At the event, Dr Huidrom Narendra Singh, president, AMAND, Pune released the 4th edition of "e-AMAND Memoir 2020" .
The 3rd "AMAND Distinguished Service Award 2020" was conferred to Warrant Officer Th Pakasana Singh (Retd.) .
The names of the various achievers on academic, extracurricular activities and recognition awards of the members of AMAND family were also announced, it added.
AMAND Pune also thanked Chief Minister N Biren Singh for his goodwill message for the success of 9th AMAND AGM cum cultural evening as well as the AMAND Memoir 2020 .
The association also expressed its gratitude to renowned singers Ranbir Thouna, Pushparani, Arbin and all the crew members of Tamna Sangai Records Imphal for the live musical concert; all the well-wishers, performers from various locations.
During the business session of its meeting, Dr H Narendra Singh announced the names of new office bearers as well as the executive body members for the term 2020-2022 with Er N Giridhar Singh as the new president and Er Y Sanjoy Singh as new gen secretary.
