He also said that architects of the MAF would design the front elevation view of houses affected by the recent expansion drive of Keishampat-Malom road.
He mentioned that till today 30 affected house owners have come to the MAF for consultation.
The Forum had offered to design the facade of houses along the Keishampat-Malom stretch of road which were demolished in the road expansion drive free of cost.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr RK Nimai said that Imphal still lacks key components and structures of a city.
Most of the houses in Manipur are built by hiring masons without consulting architects before construction.
Since buildings are constructed without planning, the same have become outdated, RK Nimai said.
Not only in houses construction, there are many lapses in construction of roads and bridges.
There are no straight roads, he further underlined.
Saying that Govt employees architects and engineers, seem to have lacked in research while executing works, Dr Nimai conveyed his desire that the employees execute works with vision.
Pioneers in the field of architecture in the State M Uma Devi and L Mangi were honoured during the function today.
