Kangpokpi, January 04 2022:
The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has apprised the Prime Minister for an early solution to the protracted political problems of the Kukis in a memorandum submitted to him during his visit to the State today.
In the memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, KIM requested the PM to consider the situation of the Kukis in the true spirit of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas' before finalization of the Framework Agreement.
KIM, in different memorandums submitted earlier, had also made it clear that the FA should not infringe upon the Kuki inhabited lands as the Kukis will not accept any solution or agreement whatsoever between the Government of India and NSCN(IM) if the agreement is not favourable to the Kukis.
KIM added in the memorandum that the political problems of Manipur are connected with land issues in one way or the other and that the Kukis are dominant in 5 out of 16 districts of the State in Chandel, Kangpokpi, Tengnoupal, Pherzawl and Churachandpur.
Any attempt to pamper NSCN(IM) at the cost of Kukis' ancestral land and political interest will not be tolerated.
The memorandum signed by KIM president Khaimang Chongloi and general secretary Shokholun Mate also said that KIM acknowledged the fact that commendable works have been done by the BJP Government across the Country.
