Limca record for 100 metre long 'salad'

A 6 inch wide and 100 metre long 'salad' made by Innovative Youth Society and BOSS Juice during the Chinjak festival this year, has found entry in the LIMCA Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Record.
Speaking to reporters today at Hotel Imphal, secretary of Innovative Youth Society, Khuraijam Thouba has conveyed joy and excitement over the entry of the 'salad' in the LIMCA Book of Record.
He said the entry in the record book would surely boost the tourism potential of the State.

The salad was exhibited during the Chinjak (Food) festival in April this year at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.
Preparation of the salad took one hour, 10 minutes and five seconds.
It was prepared with 781 kgs of vegetables.
Thouba said that not all the 15 chefs involved in the making of the salad are professionals.
Most of them were volunteers.
