Signature campaign marks World Wildlife Day

As part of the World Wildlife Day, a signature campaign for a "say 'no' to illegal wildlife products" was conducted at Kangla western gate today.
The campaign was organised by the Department of Forest and People for Animals, Manipur.
PFA, Manipur managing trust L Bishwajit said, "The campaign has been initiated in order to create mass awareness on the importance of wildlife and forest in maintaining the ecological balance.
As the World Wildlife Day is being observed across the globe today, let us to pledge to conserve wildlife and forest." Passers-by who appended their signatures also took photographs with the organisers.
L Bishwajit appealed to all who took part in the campaign to share their pictures in social networking sites � Facebook and Whatsapp- afterwhich a lucky draw will be held.
Winners will get free tickets to visit Keibul Lamjao National Park.
On the other hand, Western Forest Division, Tamenglong in collaboration with Rain Forest Club, Tamenglong has also observed the World Wildlife Day at Christian Model English School today.
A slogan writing contest was organised which was participated by a large number of students.
'Save Amur Falcon' note books were also distributed by the Western Forest Division to the students.
