Two workers die inside ring-well in CCpur

With the onset of monsoon, a tragic story of ring-well workers dying inside their work place apparently due to lack of oxygen has once again haunt this southern district as two men reportedly died inside a ring-well at Bethel village, about a couple of kilometers from here.
Traumatised by the incident or disturbed over the fact that one of the victim was still to be extricated from the 'killer well' crucial eye witnesses are still too weak or are still hesitant to narrate their ordeal even at the time of filing this report.
However people who are in engaged in the rescue operation said they heard about the incident at around 4 in the evening.

The owner of the ring-well identified as Suongam, hired three individuals to clean-up his ringwell today.
While the three were engaged in their chores, the man inside the ring-well felt unconscious and on seeing this his friends along with two of their proprietor's sons entered the well one after another and tried to rescue those trapped inside, said a source.
In the course of the tragedy, Ngamkhohao (26) s/o Lamminthang of Molnom village and one of Suongam's son identified as Mangkholen (37) lost their lives, while two others � Lalcha (20) also the son of Suongam and Nehkhohao (24) s/o Thatkham of Molnom village were rescued in an unconscious state and admitted at Sielmat Christian Hospital and District Hospital respectively.
The fifth man, Jamgoulal (20) s/o Letthang of Molnom village managed to escape from the tragedy allegedly after rescuing two of his friends but was still in a state of shock.
Despite attempts to obtain his version of the tragedy he refused to talk.It is pertinent to note that five men have lost their lives at Rengkai on May 23, 1999 and two people again died at the same village some years back, while one died at Tuibuong village in a similar tragedy, in the past.
