Six CCCs set to be closed

With the State's COVID-19 active cases declining since the last couple of days, the State Government has decided to close down six COVID Care Centres opened in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Noney and Churachandpur.
According to an order issued by Health Director Dr K Rajo, second integrated COVID coordination meeting was held today with the Principal Secretary (Health) in the chair and the meeting decided to close down six CCCs.
The CCCs identified for closure are UNACCO and RD Wing in Imphal West, Bal Bhavan in Imphal East, Lamding Higher Secondary School in Thoubal, Model Higher Secondary School, Noney and Sadbhavna Mandap, Churachandpur.
CMOs concerned, Medical Superintendents and in-charge MOs have been directed not to admit new patients at these centres from tomorrow.
The order issued by the Health Director also asked health staff currently working at the six CCCs to go back to their previous stations once all the patients staying at the centres are discharged.
