Governor of Manipur, Dr.
Najma Heptulla called on
people to spread awareness to
general public about the
importance of physical
exercise.
" With the development of new
technology, machine etc.
physiotherapy has gone much
further with the hands of
Neurologist.
We needed more
time and effort to keep it up
our health.
Including physical
exercise as part of our lifestyle
will lead to a healthier life", Dr.
Heptlla said during World
Physical Therapy Day
celebration was held at
Lamyanba Shanlen, Palace
Compound yesterday.

The event was organized by
All Manipur Physiotherapist
Association (AMPA) under
the theme "Physical Therapy
and Mental Health" .
The observance was attended

Imphal as Chief Guest, Guest
of Honour and President
respectively.
Manipur Governor Dr.Najma
Heptulla r stated that the
importance of Physical
Therapy is being felt by the
public each day especially by
those people who are unable
to afford expensive treatment.
Sharing her experiences, the
Governor stated that she
suffered Hamstring injury after
she took charge of Governor
of Manipur due to lack of
physical exercise in her daily
routine, however she improved
her condition after consulting
doctors and including physical
exercise in her daily routine and
became a fit person.
"Persistent
and Confident to Physical
Exercise" is what the Governor
appealed to the gathering.
The event was attended by
numbers of student and
dignitaries.
