Rejecting the post mortem report in the Monika death case, the JAC constituted in connection with the incident has threatened to complain against the doctors who conducted the autopsy to Medical Council of India (MCI) and Union Home Minister.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, JAC vice-chairman Laishram Nungshithoi said that the JAC does not trust the report as it seems that the report has been altered.
As such, the JAC would complain to MCI and Union Health Minister against the doctors who conducted the autopsy, he added.
Leimapokpam (N) Moirangthem (O) Monika (18) was found hung to death inside the bathroom of her husband's house at Thoubal Achouba Bamon Leirak on March 18 .
As Monika's parents were suspicious of hanging their daughter after she was done to death, Monika's father Leimapokpam Manihar lodged a complaint at Thoubal Police Station following which investigation is going on, Nungshithoi said.
According to the post mortem report, the deceased was pregnant, he added.
Monika's husband Moirangthem Bikramjit is currently lodged in jail.
