29 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (South) conducted a Medical Camp under 'HEALTHY MANIPUR' theme at Joupi on 26 Mar 2018.The lack of medical infrastructure in the remote villages of Joupi battalion area of responsibility deprives the locals of basic medical care which has resulted in various diseases which could have been cured by basic medical attention.
The medical team under the supervision of Comdt Dr Sathish Kumar, CMO and medical staff of 29 Assam Rifles provided free medical aid and medicines to the needy people of the villages.
A total of 111 people comprising 61 males 30 females and 20 children were given medical aid.
Conduct of such medical camps at remote villages has strengthened ties between the villagers and the Security Forces and provided them with much needed relief.
The gesture will also go a long way in promoting peace and harmony between the local and security forces in the years to come.
