Governor stikes chord with Spt, Kpi folks

Governor La Ganeshan made his first maiden visit to Senapati district and interacted with the DLOs and CSOs at DRDA Conference Hall today.
Speaking on the occasion, La Ganeshan stated that the country will never die as long as culture is preserved.
He lauded the district administration for enabling ODF declaration and construction of transit centres for doctors while appreciating the Police Department for maintaining law and order.
The Governor also expressed his anguish over the low percentage of Covid vaccination in the district and appealed to the people to come forward for the vaccination.
He also urged the gathering to maintain cleanliness in the district and co-operate with one another.

During the event, Mahesh Chaudhari Deputy Commissioner, Senapati highlighted the ongoing developments and projects under various schemes in the district through PPT while Ingawale Pravin Dadaso, IPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Senapati presented a report on the maintenance of law order by the police in Senapati district.
District administration Senapati also organised an interactive programme.
The programme was attended by Bobby Waikhom Secretary to the Governor, HT Gangte, Special Secretary, M Pradip Singh, SP, Senapati, DLOs and CSOs.
The Governor also visited Kangpokpi district today and interacted with the DLOs and representatives of CSOs of Kangpokpi district at the Deputy Commissioner's office complex.
On his arrival at the district, the Governor was accorded a warm welcome by the officers and staff of district administration, Kangpokpi.
DC Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam along with several leaders and representatives of CSOs of the district felicitated the Governor.
During the programme, a power point presentation on various development initiatives in the district was also presented by the DC.
Later, the Governor interacted with the DLOs and representatives of CSOs and discussed issues of the district.
The event was also attended by Subedar L Singsit, 91 year old war veteran as a special guest.
