Daili assault condemned

Senapati, June 28 2017:
Naga Peoples' Organisation (NPO), an apex body of Senapati district has condemned the life attempt of a youth at Daili village on June 25 .
A joint press release issued by SDSA and SDWA stated that such incident could trigger unwanted tension among different groups or community despite many efforts to promote peace, coexistence and communal harmony .
NPO has called various CSOs of Kangpokpi to intervene and to assist in booking the culprit at the earliest, it added .
Meanwhile, Kangpokpi Constituency Naga Council (KCNC) has strongly condemned the assault of Daili Youth secretary by unknown miscreant on June 25 .
Taking serious note of the incident in which two youths from Daili village were beaten and stabbed with knife by some unknown miscreants, KCNC president R Luikamang stated that the Council condemns such criminal act in the strongest term .
Such behavior tarnishes the image of a village, he added .
He appealed all to shun such act that could harm the harmonious relationship between different communities .
He expressed discontent towards the law enforcing agencies for letting such incidents happen right under their nose while recalling that the incidents occurred not even one kilometer away from Kangpokpi police station .
It appealed the law enforcing agency to look into the incidents and bring a solution before any unwanted consequences unfold and prevent such incidents from happening future.
