KYU's 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign receives applause

The Kangpokpi Youth Union and the local journalists' initiative, 'Mask Kangpokpi' campaign under the aegis of KTC has been appreciated by Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen by providing them with cotton masks developed by Renu Handloom and Handicraft Co-operative Society Limited, Imphal East.
On her visited to the District Hospital Kangpokpi on April 25, the Social Welfare Minister who is also the in-charge Minister of Kangpokpi and Senapati district regarding COVID-19 had lauded the organisations and local senior journalist Kaybie Chongloi.
Meanwhile, KYU continued its campaign today by providing the cotton masks and other relief materials to the people who came out to buy essential items at Kangpokpi bazar, IT Road, Nute Kailhang and along the Highway.
Officer-in-Charge, Kangpokpi Police Station and his team also assisted KYU.
So far, KYU has distributed over 500 masks, said its president Haolet Khongsai advising people to wear face masks when they come out of their homes.
