Six weeks entrepreneurship prog

Integrated Rural Development Service Organization (IRDSO) under the sponsorship of Small Industries Development Bank Of India (SIDBI) started a six weeks entrepreneurship development program on food processing yesterday at the training hall of IRDSO, Wangjing.
G Ramkumar Sharma, BO in-charge of SIDBI, Imphal branch, Okram Chaoba Devi, Principal Thoubal College, N Binoy Singh, Councillor, Ward no 5 Wangjing Lamding Municipal Council and Soraisham Jugindro Singh, vice president, IRDSO attended the event as dignitaries.
The programme will be conducted till April 5 and around 32 individuals have participated in the training programme.
Secretary IRSDO, Nanibala Narengbam stressed on the importance of food processing while stating that the food processing could be a
source of income.
Speaking on the occasion, Okram Chaoba Devi, Principal Thoubal College urged the trainees to join the diploma course on food processing in Thoubal College after completing this six weeks training program.
She stated that Thoubal district has the potential for producing various kind of fruits and vegetables for processing.
