Senapati, November 27 2019:
A three years old child identified as M Khopu was found near Senapati police station on Tuesday in a couple of hours after he went missing.
He was just playing outside his house when he strangely disappeared while his mother was washing clothes.
His mother checked on him from time to time.
Few minutes after she last saw the boy, Khopu mother took a peek again, but the young boy went missing at around 10.30 am.
What worries Khopu's family more is the fact that a lot of other young children left their houses for a blissful day ahead only to disappear without a trace.
A wide search operation was also conducted but the effort bore no fruit.
Almost two hours later, a Police Officer caught his attention on seeing the boy loitering aimlessly, he took the child to the Station for safety and reported the matter to Childline, Senapati.
On hearing the news Childline (1098) functionaries of Senapati team along with Manipur Alliance for Child Rights (MACR), Senapati rushed to the Police Station immediately.
The child was reunited with his parents in the evening of the same day.
The Childline which was launched recently is proving a big help in tracing lost kids to their parents.
