Senapati, February 27 2022:
The NH-2 stretch from Tadubi to Maram has witnessed many cases of accidents since the past few months with repeated appeals from many to repair the road being ignored by concerned authorities so far.
The highway has been neglected for many years despite the pathetic situation between Sapormeina Bazaar and Motbung.
This road stretch has been a nightmare for private, commercial drivers and passengers.
Just recently, at least accidents, 4 casualties and many injured cases have been reported.

With curved and sharp bends along the stretch coupled with landslides at many places have added more misery and risk of accidents.
Transport associations and citizens have raised concerns and requested concerned authorities to look into the condition of the particular stretch of road to avert more accidents and casualties in the future.
It may be mentioned that the sharp bends, blind curves and non-protective measures (Guards) near Makhan Bridge along the NH-2/AH-1 have been posing a great threat to the commuters.
In this regard, the people living in and around the stretch have also appealed to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to immediately look into the matter for public safety.
