Sainik School scores at NDA

Cadets of Sainik School Imphal have created another historical landmark by achieving an unprecedented success rate of 78 per cent in the UPSC examination held in August this year for entry to the July 2012 batch of National Defence Academy (NDA) .
This year's batch of Sainik School cadets broke the school's all time highest record of 61 per cent achieved by their seniors last year.
This year, out of 23 cadets who appeared in the UPSC NDA written test, 18 cadets have qualified for SSB interview scheduled to be held next year.
This success was an icing on the cake as the school was already adjudged the best among all Sainik Schools in the country for performance in officer entry schemes in Indian Defence Services, remarked an alumni of the prestigious school.
For this achievement, Sainik School Imphal was for the first time awarded Defence Minister's Trophy in October 2011 .

On this occasion, Principal of Sainik School Imphal, Colonel (Dr) Ravi Kumar has, meanwhile, congratulated all the qualified cadets and their parents for making the school proud.
He also complemented the hard work and dedication of teachers and administrative staff for making such a record performance since inception of the school.
